Notes

Isaac Buckmaster (also called Buck) was born about 1843 according to his military service record, and census records list his birthplace as Pennsylvania. The 1850 Census shows him as the child of Charles Buckmaster (black), and Catherine, who appears to be listed as white on both the 1850 and 1860 Census. Isaac Buckmaster was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in Company A, 8th United States Colored Troops. He was wounded at the battle of Olustee, Florida in February of 1864. His military stone was placed in Lincoln Cemetery in 1887.
